Saturday, August 13th

8:00 AM - OSF Saint Paul Medical Center presents the 8th Annual “CornaPalooza” a 5K/10K Run & 5K Fitness Walk. The race starts/ends at Lake Mendota. Participants will encounter rural Mendota and its rolling hills & 1 mile of trail.  Awards, giveaways & food provided for all those who participate. - Mini Royalty Pageant 5 year olds competing to wear the crown of Mini King & Queen of Mendota's Annual Sweet Corn Festival, on the First State Bank Stage on Rt. 34 downtown.

- Annual Sweet Corn Festival Food Contest.
All categories of food must be made with sweet corn and prepared in advance. Judging will be held at 2:00 PM in the Mendota Elks Lodge, 707 Indiana Ave. downtown. Entry forms available at the Mendota Chamber Office.

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM - DREAMWAVE Wrestling. Local independent  family friendly wrestling takes over the Sweet Corn Festival.

3:30 PM - Canine Demonstration
, coordinated by the Mendota Police Department. Located on Indiana Ave. near Mendota Elks Lodge.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Dallas Stamberger will be playing a mix of 50s, 60s, blues & country in the First State Bank Hospitality Tent.     

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Second Chance Band performing classic rock, country, and blues on the First State Bank Stage.

- The Jesse White Tumblers will give a special high-flying performance in front of the Mendota Elks Club on Indiana Ave.

- SWEET CORN FESTIVAL GRAND PARADE
Featuring floats, bands, antique & classic vehicles, Shriners, and more! Special highlights include The Jesse White Tumblers  and The South Shore Drill Team

- FREE SWEET CORN! Del Monte's finest served steaming hot! Butter donated by Sullivan's Foods. Served at the intersection of Illinois Ave. and Jefferson St.

  - 3D Sound will be providing entertainment and music at the intersection of Illinois Ave. and Jefferson St.

- The South Shore Drill Team will perform in front of the Elks Club at 707 Indiana Ave. You have watched them in the parade; don't miss this very special performance!
